Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Xrefer AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and API consumers.

2. Description of Service

Xrefer AI provides AI-powered reverse engineering assistance, including decompiled code analysis, variable renaming suggestions, and code explanation via API. The Service is intended for security researchers, software engineers, and reverse engineering professionals.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• You may not share your account or API keys with third parties.
• One account per person or legal entity. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.

4. Credits and Payments

• Credits are required to use AI features. New accounts receive 100 free credits upon registration.
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law.
• Credits do not expire and have no cash value.
• Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice to registered users.
• All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store payment card data.
• Chargebacks or fraudulent payment disputes may result in immediate account termination.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Xrefer AI only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to:

• Analyze malware or code intended to harm, defraud, or exploit others without authorization.
• Violate any intellectual property rights of third parties.
• Bypass software licensing, DRM, or copy protection mechanisms illegally.
• Submit code containing personally identifiable information (PII) of third parties.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Xrefer AI API infrastructure itself.
• Resell or redistribute the API without prior written consent.
• Automate requests in excess of the stated rate limits.

6. Data and Privacy

• Code submitted to the API is processed to generate AI responses and is not stored permanently beyond what is necessary for logging and billing.
• Usage logs (token counts, timestamps, endpoint) are retained for billing and abuse prevention.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• AI processing is performed via OpenAI. By using the Service, you acknowledge that submitted code is processed by OpenAI according to their usage policies.

7. API Usage and Rate Limits

• API keys are subject to rate limits to ensure fair use for all users.
• Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary request blocking (HTTP 429).
• Systematic abuse of rate limits may result in account suspension.
• We reserve the right to adjust rate limits at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Xrefer AI platform, including its code, design, and branding, is the exclusive property of the operator. You retain all rights to any code you submit to the API. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process submitted code solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that AI-generated analysis is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI output should be reviewed by a qualified professional before acting on it.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xrefer AI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or security incidents resulting from decisions made based on AI-generated output.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or abuse of the Service. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, unused credits are forfeited unless otherwise required by law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users by email or via the dashboard at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
